Corn off the Cob

- 4 quarts water
- 1 tbsp kosher salt - for the boiling water
- 4 ears corn - shucked and halved
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp kosher salt - for the cooked corn
Bring a large stockpot of water to a rapid boil. Add salt. Add the corn and butter.

Cover and turn off the heat. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Remove the corn, drain, and sprinkle with salt.

Optionally cut the corn kernels away from the cobs.
