Different than your average recipe site
Welcome to Gaspard Kitchen. Here, I’m trying to build something a little different than your typical recipe site. It can be frustrating trying to find good recipes online. You have to wade through meaningless filler and irrelevant advertisements. You just want to see the ingredients so you can decide if it is a recipe worth your time to make!
No Distractions!
It’s like that pink slime that often get’s added to ground meat that you might find at your grocery store. What is that stuff? I don’t want to eat it! Meat producers use this additive to try and improve the appearance and marketable weight of their product. It adds no nutritional value, and it is questionably benign with regard to health.
It can be annoying wading through the extra fluff in online recipes. You just want to get to the recipe! This textual pink slime is a lame attempt to improve search engine results. But I don’t want to read it! It is aggravating, which is the exact opposite of what I am trying to produce for you, my readers. Cooking should be an enjoyable experience, not a chore. Good cooking spreads joy and good will, and brings people together! This is how great memories are made in the kitchen.
Getting to the Point
With this in mind, after a brief introduction I intend for my recipe posts to get straight to the point. I will keep longer stories and discussions here in my Blog Posts. If my recipes use other recipes as ingredients, I will provide the links. Advertisements will be relevant to the site or to the local community. I will place them out of your way, and I won’t allow distracting, gimmicky ads designed to divert your attention. Products will be offered to enhance your cooking experience. I will sell them directly to you through my store, and not through affiliate links.
First Hand Recipes
All of the recipes published here are tested and documented by me, in my kitchen. This is what I cook and serve to my family and friends. I use these recipes as a reference while I cook, and I hope you will do the same. Often, I will make slight changes to a recipe if I find that it needs an improvement. In this case, I might update the published recipe. Feel free to make adjustments according to your taste as well.
Speak Up!
If you have suggestions for improvements, please leave a comment. If you do, please be respectful, courteous, constructive, friendly, and above all be cool. Please don’t abuse my site, be rude, political, or divisive. People from all over the world are visiting my site, and I want everyone to feel welcome. There are always differences in perspective or opinion. That is the spice in life! Celebrate it! If we were all the same, it would be a pretty bland dish to serve.
I hope that my recipes bring you happiness. I also hope that you will share them with the ones you love. Not only by cooking great meals, but by sharing through word of mouth. Please leave a comment or rating. If you see an error, a technical glitch, a misspelling or anything else that needs improvement, please let me know. If you like what you see, I’d like to know that too! I want to make this site like a great cookbook that you come back to time and time again.
Welcome to Gaspard Kitchen.
Happy Cooking!
Sincerely,
Scott Gaspard
