Teriyaki Sauce
A sweet and savory Japanese style sauce most often used as a marinade or a glaze for fish and meats.
Equipment
- 1 small sauce pan
- 1 wire whisk
Ingredients
- ¼ cup cold water
- 3 tsp corn starch
- ½ cup light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ tsp fresh ginger minced
- 1 tsp garlic minced
Instructions
- Whisk together water and cornstarch in a small saucepan.
- Whisk in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
