Equipment

  • small dish - for salting the rims
  • 2 margarita glasses - frosted if possible
  • mixed drink shaker
  • cutting board
  • paring knife

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups crushed ice
  • 2 tbsp kosher salt
  • 4 ounce Agave tequila - such as Sauza Hornitos Plata
  • 2 ounce orange liqueur - such as Paula's Texas Orange
  • 4 limes - reserve half of one lime for garnish wedges
  • 2 tbsp light Agave nectar

Instructions
 

  • Fill a shaker halfway with ice.
  • Rub lime on glass rims, then swirl in a small plate of salt.
  • Add remaining ingredients to the shaker.
  • Shake until frosty.
  • Fill salted margarita glasses halfway with ice. Strain margarita into the glasses with a straw and a lime wedge for garnish.
