Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Roasted Cherry Tomato Sauce - or use canned tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp molasses - non-sulphured
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp hickory powder - or 2 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 ½ tbsp chili powder - just use regular chili powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a medium sauce pan. Bring up to medium-low heat.
    2 cups Roasted Cherry Tomato Sauce, 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, 2 tbsp molasses, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp hickory powder, 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp kosher salt

  • Use an immersion blender to blend and puree all ingredients until smooth.

  • Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.

  • Allow the sauce to come to room temperature. Use it immediately, or for best flavor, refrigerate overnight.
