House Margarita
Basic margarita with sweet & sour, tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice.
Equipment
- mixed drink shaker
- small dish – for salting the rim
- 2 margarita glasses
- cutting board
- paring knife
- lime squeezer
Ingredients
- 2 limes – juiced, reserve half of one lime for garnish wedges
- 4 ounce sweet & sour – such as Tavern
- 2 ounce Agave tequila – such as Sauza Hornitos Plata
- 1 ounce orange liqueur – such as Paula's Texas Orange
- 2 cup crushed ice
- 1 tbsp kosher salt – for salting the rims
Instructions
- Rub the rim of the margarita glasses with lime. Swirl in a small dish of salt.
- Fill the shaker halfway with ice.
- Add the sweet & sour, lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur.
- Shake until frosty.
- Fill margarita glasses halfway with ice. Strain the shaken margarita into the margarita glasses, and garnish with a wedge of lime.
