Strawberry Margarita
Sweet, frozen, blended adult beverage, perfect for a sunny afternoon.
Equipment
- blender
- cutting board
- paring knife
- lime squeezer
- small dish – for salting the rim
Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1 ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 3 ounce tequila – 100% Agave, such as Hornitos Plata
- 3 ounce orange liqueur – such as Cointreau
- 2 ounce fresh lime juice – juice from one lime
- 1 tbsp light agave nectar
- 1 tbsp kosher salt – for the glass rim
Instructions
- Add salt to a small dish. Rub a cut lime around the rim of your margarita glass. Twirl the glass rim in the dish of salt.
- Add the remaining ingredients to your blender. Puree until smooth, but not so much as to melt the ice. Pour into your margarita glasses rimmed with salt. Add a lime wedge to the rim for garnish.
