Inexpensive and Delicious
Cheese breadsticks were an inexpensive go-to meal when I was a starving student in college. They were perfect while watching a movie, while studying, or on a cheap date. Back then I would pick one up for about $3.50. They were great!
Other Toppings
Sometimes I would add sliced jalapeños to spice things up. If you do, add them before baking. Broiled jalapeños are excellent on cheese breadsticks.
Variations
Instead of just parsley, sprinkle on some of my Tuscan Spice Blend for a terrific Italian flavor. Or, use chopped cilantro and dip them into spicy ranch dressing, such as DaLynn’s Angry Sauce. Or, dip the, into some Creamy Italian Dressing.
Simple is better
While it is tempting to get creative, simple is better with cheese breadsticks. Simplicity allows for easy dipping into sauces. Add too many toppings and they will fall off when you try to dip. Sauce dipping is an essential part of the fun!

For a delicious twist, try making pizza rolls! Use the same recipe. Just cut the dough into wedges before baking, and roll the cheese into the dough. Add sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick!
